Double victory for GECO at the DM IPSC Rifle in Philippsburg

From June 21 to 23, 2024, the German IPSC Rifle Championship took place in Philippsburg. The GECO team took the first two places.

Sascha Back discovered his passion for shooting at a young age and took up large-caliber shooting at the age of 23. His discipline and tireless commitment quickly led to his first successes at national level. With a lot of hard work and talent, he continuously worked his way up and soon became an integral part of the German shooting sports scene.

In addition to the Rifle Division, Sascha also regularly competes in the Revolver Division - a true all-rounder with both long and short guns.

In 2024, Sascha took first place in the German IPSC Rifle Championship in Philippsburg, closely followed by his teammate Stefan Rumpler.

Stefan Rumpler is not only an experienced shooter, but also an engineer and product manager who lives his passion and expertise every day in the world of shooting sports. With an impressive portfolio of successes in rifle, shotgun and pistol disciplines, he has earned his place at the top of the IPSC world.

Stefan is fascinated by the combination of precision, speed, strategy and gun handling in the IPSC sport.

"My mental strength and routine in big competitions and my good and reliable precision are among my strengths," Stefan Rumpler reveals in the interview: "I just need to get a bit faster and gain more experience in reading and planning stage sequences."

GECO Ammunition is an important partner for both IPSC shooters. Reliable ammunition in large quantities ensures optimum training conditions and successful preparation for competitions.

In addition to the right ammunition, both shooters rely on the AR-15 from Dynamic Arms Research in .223 Remington, like the DAR 15 SPR Custom shown here.

Go to competitions and try to shoot with shooters in a group ("squad") who finish in the top places. You can ask them questions or watch how they tackle a course. You can learn a lot that way.
