GECO and IPSC - a strong friendship
As the official ammunition sponsor and area partner, GECO provided the necessary power on the stage with its 9mm Luger Special Selection and .22 l.r. Semi-Auto. Over 1,000 shooters from 51 nations, spread over two gigantic shooting ranges in Hodonice and Oblekovice, competed in 60 stages in a top-class competition - at distances from 3 to 80 meters, in weather conditions ranging from sun, rain and 10 to 20 degrees.
Between team spirit and top performance
From the USA to Brazil to Germany to Papua New Guinea, every tenth of a second counted at this world tournament. Participants in individual and team competitions sweated, celebrated, and pushed themselves to the limit. The ceremonial opening on the historic market square in Znojmo gave everyone goosebumps, with a flag parade, music, and a medieval show. IPSC still brings people together.
GECO - an intrinsically motivated partner
But GECO was not only present with its ammunition: at its own information and service stand, top shooters were advised, feedback collected and international connections strengthened. Approachable, competent, right in the middle of the action. For GECO shooter Luis Ehrhardt, who was on site this time as a match reporter and technical expert, it was a special experience: “This event proves that GECO is ready for the top of the world - we don't just supply ammunition, we make a real statement for the sport.”
In Conclusion:
