Heckler & Koch innovations at the Enforce Tac - HK433 PDW, SFP9 A1, G210

Heckler & Koch presents the latest ideas from Oberndorf at Enforce Tac. We’ll show you the new products!

The “best of the best”.

Guns from Hecker & Koch are among the best in the world and are used by the best in the world. What did Heckler and Koch present at the Enforce Tac 2025?

At Enforce Tac, Heckler und Koch presented the G210 and MR308 A6, the short HK433 PDW and the G39 of the Special Forces (KSK) in addition to the new SFP9 A1 series. In the following article, we want to give you a brief overview of the new products.

The new HK SFP9 A1-family

Heckler & Koch's new generation of striker-fired pistols, the SFP/VP family, has of course been on the market for quite some time. The German manufacturer's polymer pistols are used by numerous German police forces and have even been introduced to the Japanese military as the "SFP9M". Heckler & Koch now proudly presents the revised SFP9 A1.

The A1 generation pistols are “Optic Ready” as standard and have a maritime slide design with additional grooves, which makes it easier to load even under difficult conditions - for example with wet, sweaty or dirty hands. They also do without the so-called “finger grooves” (finger recesses on the grip). Another feature is a textured area on both sides of the gun that serves as a tactile reference point. These special contact surfaces enable precise placement of the thumb of the supporting hand and the index finger of the shooting hand. The magazines have also been redesigned: The SFP9 A1 magazines now have a finger rest on the side, which makes them easier to remove.

The following models are now available:

  • SFP9X A1 - Same size as the previous, “old” SFP9
  • SFP9F A1 -  Full-size for duty use (Not to be confused with the 'L' or 'Match' versions, which feature significantly longer barrel lengths.)
  • SFP9K A1 -  Compact version, positioned between the SFP9X and SFP9 SK.

Only the SFP9-SK and SFP9-CC are even smaller, both of which we have known since Enforce Tac 2024.

The G210 and his civilian brother: the MR308 A6

We also found the newly introduced G210 sniper rifle, also known as the MR308 A6, at Enforce Tac in Nuremberg. Last year, it was still displayed under a showcase—this year, it was presented openly. Heckler & Koch has made significant modifications to the proven MR308, allowing us to admire the latest version. But what sets the G210 apart from the previously known MR308?

In addition to the obvious 'Sniper Grey' Cerakote coating, the MR308 A6, introduced as the 'G210,' stands out with its long M-LOK handguard, a continuous 20 MOA forward cant on the entire top rail, a flat trigger with reduced pull weight, and a side charging handle. Furthermore, it's important to mention the improved magazine compatibility (now compatible with DPMS/Magpul AR10 magazines) and the factory-installed adjustable gas system. This feature is particularly essential when using a suppressor and can even be completely(!) shut off for subsonic ammunition.

The latest generation of assault rifles – what was on display?

One of the absolute highlights at the Heckler & Koch booth was the rare sight of weapons from the HK 433/437 family. These assault rifles no longer rely solely on the AR-15 platform, like the HK416, but instead represent a hybrid of 416- and G36-technology. On display were the 'HK433 PDW' and the 'HK G39,' which is being introduced by the Army Special Forces (KSK).

The short one: HK 433 PDW

The HK433 PDW ('Personal Defence Weapon') is a compact evolution of the HK433 assault rifle series, which was introduced by Heckler & Koch in the spring of 2017. It is chambered in 5.56×45 mm and features an exceptionally short barrel.

The PDW version is available with barrels in lengths of 7 inches (177.8 mm) and 9 inches (228.6 mm). In addition, the gas block has been moved slightly to the rear. This and the folding shoulder stock make the 433 PDW even shorter and ideal for use in confined spaces or in and around vehicles. Heckler & Koch is thus responding to the current trend towards ever shorter designs, which are increasingly replacing submachine guns in their role. But more on this below.

The quiet one: HK G39 in .300 AAC Blackout

Those in the know have been aware for some time that the German Special Forces (KSK) is procuring a “special silenced special forces weapon”. We can see exactly what it will look like here:

Up front, an A-Tec suppressor sits on the short 9" barrel. In addition to the M-LOK handguard, a modified charging lever, the Cerakote coating in "Sniper Grey", the new pistol grip, which has interchangeable backstraps and sides similar to the SFP9, we see a GBRS Hydra-Mount with red dot and laser module. With its dimensions, the G39 clearly shows that the era of submachine guns in the military sector is coming to an end. The use of the .300 Blackout (7.62 x 35mm) allows very short barrel lengths. The ballistic properties of the .300 Blackout still deliver enough energy to the target and are perfectly suited for use with suppressors. In addition to reducing the muzzle flash and bang, suppressors also protect the hearing of the user and those in the area around him.

Conclusion on Heckler & Koch's new products at the Enforce Tac 2025

Heckler & Koch once again demonstrated its innovative strength at Enforce Tac. With the revised SFP9 A1 pistol family, the new G210 sniper rifle and the ultra-modern HK433 PDW and G39 assault rifles, the company is setting standards in operational proximity, ergonomics and functionality. The developments in the field of compact and suppressed weapon systems in particular underline the trend towards more flexible deployment options for military and law enforcement users. Anyone looking for future-oriented weapon technology will still have to look at Heckler & Koch in 2025.
