RWS is presenting the new “ACTION SE SXF II” and “UDD” ammunition types at Enforce Tac. Among other things, they are intended to open a new chapter in drone defense.

The latest developments from Fürth bear the names “ACTION SE SXF II” and “URBAN DRONE DEFENCE (UDD)”. With the “ACTION SE SXF II”, RWS presents an upgrade of the proven lead-free ACTION product family. This further development is based on the already available ACTION SE SXF and is characterized by an optimized bullet geometry. It makes it possible to effectively overcome modern body armor of protection class SK-1 (V-PAM-3) at distances of up to 75m. At the same time, the mass-stable design with four pre-fragmented vanes ensures a reliable and effective effect against both covered and uncovered soft targets.

The combination of penetrating power and controlled fragmentation makes the “ACTION SE SXF II” a powerful solution for demanding operational scenarios. It offers users improved tactical flexibility and safety in challenging situations.

Universal effectiveness against drones: The RWS UDD

In a world where both civilian and military drones pose a growing and real threat, RWS offers an innovative solution for neutralizing DIY UAVs (homemade, often armed aerial vehicles) and commercial drones in urban environments with its new Urban Drone Defence (UDD) ammunition. This special short-range ammunition with polymer projectile was developed for externally powered machine guns in 7.62 x 51 calibre and enables precise engagement of small UAVs - even in densely populated areas, while at the same time minimizing the risk to people and the surrounding area. The targeted use of low-emission components, such as the patented SINTOX primer set, also reduces the user's exposure to pollutants to an absolute minimum.

Two variants are available for the UDD:

UDD LIGHT (with blue-colored polymer bullet, 1.0g / 15 gr), particularly suitable for shorter distances of up to 100m in densely populated inner-city areas
UDD HEAVY (with grey-colored polymer bullet, ≤ 3.0g / 46 gr), particularly suitable at medium ranges up to 300m for defending open areas, e.g. in suburban or rural areas

Current events underline the growing danger caused by modern drone systems. Protecting public events and densely populated urban areas is particularly challenging due to the high risk of collateral damage, and it is crucial to eliminate threats quickly and minimize the danger to innocent bystanders. This makes it all the more important to have adequate means of rapid emergency response in such situations.
