Geco introduces the new IPSC team!

Today we present the faces that will be stealing the podiums from you. We'll show you who is part of Team Geco and who will be competing in competitions all over Europe. The Geco IPSC factory team pushes the boundaries of dynamic sport shooting. With a mixture of precision, speed and tactics, they dominate the competition stages. We take a look behind the scenes and show what makes these exceptional athletes so special.

The Geco-Shooters.

First and foremost they are Sascha Back, Luis Erhardt, Patrick Kummer, Györki Batki, Csaba Szászi, Julien Boit, Dylan Keppel, Stefan Rumpler, Cyrielle Vivo, Eduardo de Cobos, Emile Obriot, Patrick Baculard and Cecilia Lindberg. A lot of names. Who are the faces behind the success?

Of course - names like Sascha Back, Luis Ehrhardt and Patrick Kummer are no longer unknown on the scene. However, each individual shooter in the team brings their own unique expertise to the table. Back, the revolver master, Ehrhardt, the up-and-coming talent, and Kummer, the all-rounder - they are all united by a passion for dynamism and the unconditional will to win. And this should also be an inspiration for those who are just starting out in shooting sports.

A young role model for us all.

As a representative of these guys, we are bringing Luis Erhardt into the spotlight today. Because factory teams or sponsored shooters in general not only have a representative function for the sponsor - no. They show what is possible with patience and perseverance. But they are also role models. Luis Erhardt, for example. He is more than just a talented sports shooter. With his energy and unbridled ambition, he has become a role model and today shows many “old-agers” show who's boss. His story shows that age doesn't matter if you have a goal in mind. He was allowed to get involved at the age of 13. This was made possible by a special permit from his firearms authority. In Germany, where meaningful promotion of young talent in shooting sports is prevented by law, this is usually only possible from the age of 14. In 2016, the then 17-year-old Luis won his first “Presidents Medal” for winning a Level III match. In the same year, he joined Team Open Germany of the BDS, and just one year later he received the support of his sponsor GECO.

IPSC is more than just a sport. The discipline requires a unique combination of physical fitness, mental strength and technical skills. IPSC is not just about shooting accurately, but also about being fast. The competitions are timed events where every second counts. To be successful, shooters must be able to optimize their movements and handle their weapons quickly and safely. This ability to perform at their best under time pressure carries over into other areas of life. And in a team, everyone can rely on the help and support of others. Not everyone is as proficient with a shotgun as Stephan Rumpler. Or as fit with a revolver as Sascha Back. But as a team, they achieve top performances through mutual support. And that makes the boys and girls of the Geco team “role models”. Men and women who work together, across national borders.

With their passion, their talent and the support of Geco, they are ideally equipped for the future. GECO's commitment goes far beyond the specialized range of ammunition and actively promotes young talent, organizes competitions and supports associations and organizations. Because that is also shooting sport.
